Hey the best part about traveling, is the relaxation part. I know many of you travel for the sightseeing and adventure. But for a vacation, it should be all about relaxation, because in a way you taking a break from your dreaded 9 to 5 job. My dream vacation is anywhere there is sun and beaches. I just like to plunk down and read my books and mags and soak in some vitamins D.
One place I recommended for relaxation is the Bahamas. It is actually a short trip if you are located anywhere in the lower 48 states. Only 90 miles from Florida, and you like stop by Miami first than head over to Bahamas. To be honest Miami is alright, south beach is a bit overrated, but I did enjoy Fort Lauderdale, probably because I'm in the older age bracket. The cool thing about the Bahamas is the natural beauty, it has over 700 islands full of beaches, palm trees, nice weather, and azures waters. My kind of place. It is a bit expensive as we stayed in a nice hotel with a nice beach front. Some of the tours that were offered are day trips on a catamaran, snorkeling and swimming with large fishes like dolphins. If you have your diving license, Bahamas will be a treat for you. You can go off the beaten track all over the islands and go to places where no human rarely go. If you don't have a license you can get it easily in the Bahamas, as they offer the certification. Local Dive operators supply The largest town and capital is Nassau Town. This place has everything you need from shopping to luxury shopping. It has quite a night life as well, like the casinos, clubs and music cabarets. The only downside is that it is pretty expensive overall as compared to other Caribbean countries. If you are on a budget you are better off heading to Dominican Republic or Cuba. Just look for the deals for all inclusive packages and you are set. If you have the extra cash, then Bahamas a place you should definitely experience.
